Do we have to know that ethylene signifies CH2 and that Diamine signifies NH2 and how other names signify different structures?

Dr. Lavelle said in today's lecture that we will go over naming, but since we haven't yet I don't think you need to know it until he covers it during lecture.

I don't believe naming was in this week's lecture, but it might appear in the following weeks. I would say not to worry too much about it, since Dr.Lavelle would probably provide us with formulas and chemical names on the final exam.
