Memorization of Names..?

Do we need to memorize all the names on the “Naming Coordination Compounds” sheet listed on the website? There are a lot!

Yes I believe we are expected to have to be able to name coordination compounds, so you would have to memorize the names of the ligands.

Yes, I believe you need to know the names of the different ligands, however the test is multiple choice which might help, but i'm not sure of the extent.

Yes, I found that chart 9C.1 in the textbook is helpful for laying our the different names.

Yes, it would be very beneficial to memorize all of them. What I found useful for me was using flashcards to identify the name of a given ligand.

Yes, I believe we do need to memorize all of the names on the chart and recognize them when given the formula for a compound

But even if you don't completely have a grasp on it, it will be multiple choice so you can probably figure it out.
