What's an example of a polydentate and a monodentate?

One example we discussed in class was EDTA or ethylenediammine tetra acetate which is chelating complex that removes metals from solutions. It is a hexadentate ligand which means its a polydentate that has six donor atoms with electron pairs that can be used to bond to a central metal atom or ion.

A monodentate could be a chloride atom (written as chloro).
