Bond Angles

Postby Sara Juarez 1B » Sun Jul 24, 2016 11:32 pm

When it comes to learning the angle of the shapes, will the angle always hold true to the specific shape? In other words, every time I identify a molecule as a Trigonal planar I should automatically assume its angles are 120, or t-shapes with angles 90 and 180

Usually the bond angle is associated with the shape, however, sometimes the bond angle will be slightly off due to the presence of big atoms with more electrons.
