Dipole Moments

Postby elliekauffman1I » Sun Dec 03, 2017 2:59 pm

How do you find if a dipole moment is stronger than another? I understand that dipole moments are determined based on electronegativity, but not the stronger and weaker part.

If the difference in electronegativity is greater, the dipole moment will be stronger.

Pay attention to the electronegativity. A greater electronegativity means a greater dipole moment.
