Polydentate ligands

How do we tell how many dentates a ligand has? From what I understand everything after bidentate is polydentate right?

A ligand is polydentate when it has multiple atoms that can donate a lone pair and become a ligand. Bidentate is still polydentate. Anything that forms more than one bond is polydentate.

that depends on the property and shape of the ligand. Basically, a polydentate ligand will have multiple number of lone pair electrons and the angle between each is around 90˚.
