How can you determine the shape of a coordination compound? For instance, what's the shape of Na3[Co(C2O4)3]?

Because there are 6 ligands, 3 from the Na and 3 from the oxalate, it will have an octahedral shape.

I thought oxalate was bidentate, and thus 3 of them would provide the 6 areas.
