What is the significance of a chelate? I know that it forms a ring, but is that all we have to know? Is there anything else that's important?
Thank you!

I think it would also be useful to know that chelates have tight bonds with cations due to the multiple bonding sites. Lavelle mentioned this a couple times in lecture so I made sure to understand that concept as well.

It is important to know that it would more tightly connected due to multiple bonding sites.
