Can someone explain how to determine which isomers form chelating complexes?

So, from what I understand, in order for a ligand to be chelating, the "bite angle" or the angle between the two parts of the ligand that will attach to the central metal has to be somewhere around, or less than, 90 degrees. So in 17.35, the parts of the ligand are only less than an angle of 90 degrees in (b).

I might be wrong, but I hope this helps!
