Textbook Problem 9C.3 d

Postby Vanessa_Ong_3F » Fri Nov 26, 2021 9:15 pm

Can someone help me figure out sodium bisoxalato(diaqua)ferrate(III)'s formula? I don't understand how to come up with the part for bisoxalato. Are we expected to just know its chemical formula on our final?

The name should be sodium diaquabis(oxalato)ferrate(III). This question has a typo.

In the 9c part of the textbook, there is a list of compound names, such as en, edta and more that I recommend just memorizing... even if you do not have the time, the final is going to be multiple choice anyways so you can use process of elimination to finalize what oxalate would be...
