Ligand Binding Site

Hi! I just wanted to know if anyone had a specific guideline for finding ligand binding sites in order to determine whether it's a monodentate, bidentate etc.? Thank you!

Not sure if this is what exactly you are asking, but for a ligand to bound there needs to be a lone electron pair.
