Chelate vs Bridging Ligand in a Coordination Complex

Postby MiaRosati3L » Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:20 pm

I assume it would be good to know what a chelate is for the final exam, but would we also need to know what a bridging ligand is in a coordination complex?

Edit: I'm not sure why the image was embedded 3 times, but here's an example of a chelate and a bridging ligand.

Hello! I don't recall Dr. Lavelle mentioning bridging ligands in class, nor did I find it in the textbook. So I don't think we need to know about bridging ligands. Let me know if you have more questions!
