Isomers

Isomers
Will we be required to identify different types of isomers on the final (i.e. differentiate between structural and linkage isomers)? Or just recognize in general how different isomers of coordination compounds can produce different effects in biological systems (like the cisplatin/transplatin example in class)?

Dr. Lavelle only briefly mentioned it in lecture and isomers are not mentioned in the learning outcomes so I would not expect to need to know about the effects of isomers on the final. I don't know for 100% this is just another students educated guess

I don't think we are required to know the different types of isomers on the final. If anything, I think that we would just need to know the generalized idea of what you said - different isomers of coordination compounds have different applications and impacts in biological systems!
