How can we tell when a molecule will form a chelating complexes?

You can tell by first off determining the denticity of the ligand. A ligand has to be a polydentate in order for it to be possibly be a chelate. Then, you have to draw out the coordination compound and see if the ligand forms a ring/cage-like structure around the central metal ion.

Does anyone know if chelating compounds will be on the final? Thanks
