Pophrin, Heme and Cisplatin

Postby 706381863 Yuxuan Ren » Sat Dec 07, 2024 3:03 pm

Anyone who know to what extent do we need to know about these biological ligands? do we memorize them as examples or need to know their properties?

Reading through the outlines would probably be more useful than hoping for an answer here

Coordination_Compounds_and_Their_Biological_Importance Outline :
• Describe the biological functions of naturally occurring coordination compounds (e.g.,
hemoglobin, myoglobin, vitamin B12).
• Discuss well-known examples of coordination compounds used as chemotherapy drugs.

I think a general overview/understanding of how they function would suffice, using the examples to classify and distinguish between their functions.
