Transition metals and their biological importance

Postby Serenity Shadowens 2F » Wed Dec 06, 2023 11:20 pm

Does anyone know what specific concepts regarding transition metals and their biological importance that we should know? I believe this was mentioned in class right before break, and i want to refer back to it when studying.

hello! I think it would mostly be helpful to study their locations in the periodic table and understand why their properties are the way they are, based on their positions in the table and periodic trends

One of the UAs said to remember that Vitamin B12 has Cobalt in it and Hemoglobin has Iron. Dr. Lavelle also goes deeper in biological compounds and their importance in one of the lectures as well if you want to rewatch it.
