Does anyone know if we will be tested on the final with biological examples? As in do we need to memorize a couple in case we are tested on them? In that case, does anyone have any logical/easy way of remembering them?
I don't really recall Dr. Lavelle ever saying that we needed to memorize biological examples (I assume you mean coordination compounds). However, it would be nice if he could confirm this in class; I would ask him just to be sure. The one thing that will definitely be good to know though is which ligands have which charges/# of binding sites.
Remember to review the tables and boxes stated on the syllabus. Those are ones we are expected to know and are fair game for tests and exams. To test yourself on your knowledge of them, maybe create a set of flashcards.
