Besides myoglobin and hemoglobin, what other biological applications of coordination compounds should we be aware of?

You should also be aware of the function of cisplatin. And other biological applications include the importance of chromium and how it assists insulin in control of blood sugar, cobalt and how it helps with vitamin B12, and how Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn are critical for enzyme function.

Are the biological implications relevant for this class? I thought Lavelle just likes discussing the implications but it’s not actually necessary to know for the tests. I could be wrong but that was just my understanding up to this point
