Cisplatin

Should we memorize the structure of cisplatin and transplatin? And what about hemoglobin and myoglobin?

I think it would be best to just memorize whatever you can. I know someone who said cisplatin showed up on their final last year. Just memorize whatever you can just in case.

I feel like anything that he mentioned in lecture is fair game for the final, so I would memorize as many structures as possible, or at least how to derive them from their names just in case he throws a curveball.

The course outline for that structure mentions cisplatin, hemoglobin, and myoglobin. I would also make sure to know how the chlorines in cisplatin bind to DNA and how exactly it functions as a chemo drug.
