N7 in guanine

Hey guys, what's the biological significance of the N7 nitrogen in guanine and how do you determine which nitrogen is the N7 one (from looking at a lewis structure)?

The lone pair on the N7 of guanine binds to the chemotherapy drug cisplatin.

The N7 is on the same side as the oxygen atom on guanine.

In my former (research) life I solved complicated DNA and RNA structures ...
