Cisplatin Denticity
Is cisplatin monodentate or bidentate? It binds to nitrogens of different base pairs, but since its two different nitrogens, it is monodentate, right? Or does it relate to the number of places the ligand binds to?
Re: Cisplatin Denticity
It relates to the number of places a ligand can bind to one TM. I believe cisplatin is monodentate and can bind to two different transition metals, but can not bind twice to the same TM.

Re: Cisplatin Denticity
Hi! Since denticity is about how many places a ligand can bind to one transition metal, cisplatin is monodentate, since it can only bond once to a transition metal.
