Why do solids not contribute to an ICE table when calculating K?

Solids do not go through any change due to their concentration as they always remain constant during a reaction, they do not change their physical state and simply maintain their form throughout.

Hi. Like April said, solids do not contribute to ICE tables since they do not have a changing concentration as they have a constant concentration. This is applicable for liquids as well.

Solids do not factor into the equilibrium expression (K) since their concentrations remain constant.Solids would produce a constant term in the equilibrium expression, which would have no effect on either the equilibrium position or the value of K.
