Converting between Kp and Kc

In lecture, Professor Lavelle told us to use PV=nRT to convert between Kp and Kc. In the book the formula: Kp=(Kc)(T/12.03K)^(∆nr) is used. Which way is better to use?

What I did in lecture was to apply PV = nRT to each reactant and product individually to convert between P (partial pressure) and Concentration.

P = (n/V) RT = (Conc) RT

Once you have all your reactants in P or Concentration then calculate Kp or Kc.

The textbook equation allows you to do it in one step but students often have difficulty using this equation.
Both will give the same answer. Up to you which you prefer.
