Problem 11.33

I can sort of see how the value 6.9 was calculated, but I'm having a little trouble understanding why the top values are something like 1.0x10^-4 instead of the given value 0.1 mmol. Is there a specific unit being used for this generally? Hope that made sense.

As you have written out, the problem gave .1 mmol (millimoles). You want to convert moles to concentration which is moles/Liters. Liters is already in the correct units of .5 liters (rather than milliliter). So you have to convert .1 mmol to mols before calculating. So that is .1 mmol * 10-3 or 1 * 10-4 mols.
