Homework 11.1d

Postby Amanda Hagen 1L » Mon Nov 27, 2017 9:05 pm

Can someone explain why "If one starts with higher concentrations of reactants, the equilibrium concentrations of the products will be larger" is true from homework problem 11.1d? I thought change in concentrations didn't affect this.

change in concentration doesn't affect K, and the only way this is possible is that if the concentration of reactants are increased, the concentration of products will increase as well to keep the P/R ratio the same
