How do you know when a gas is ideal?

No gas actually behaves like an ideal gas, but noble gases come the closest as they do not have attractive forces between them. Gases behave more like ideal gases at high temperature and low pressure as these conditions further decrease the inter-particle forces of attraction.

Increasing the concentration of gases also decreases the ideal nature of gases; this also causes inter-molecular forces to become more of a factor.

First I agree with what the previous post stated that no gas is actually ideal gas under real situation even though noble gases are close to ideal gases.

Some more comments on how to identify ideal gases:
1. The gas molecules don't attract each other.
2. The volume of gas molecules can be neglected.
3. The collision between molecules and the container is elastic collision (no energy lost)
