Factors Affecting K

Why don't changes in pressure alter the equilibrium constant?

You mean a change in pressure (but no change in volume).
Take a look at what I discussed in class. A change in pressure (with no change in volume) results in no change in concentration for the reactants or products, and therefore no change.

The equilibrium constant is only changed by temperature. However, the reaction quotient Q may be more or less than K depending on if the reaction is at equilibrium or not.
