Calculating Equilibrium Concentrations

Postby Meigan Wu 2E » Mon Jan 07, 2019 2:06 pm

How do we calculate the equilibrium concentrations of the products and reactants? Will they be given?

I believe Professor Lavelle will give us the concentrations on the exams.

You can calculate equilibrium concentrations if you know the value of K and by using ICE tables.

Most likely they will be given. Referring back to Chem 14A, we know the concentration of a strong acid or base because it is completely ionized. For weak acids and bases, we will learn how to use ICE tables to calculate them.
