Is equilibrium concentration or initial concentration used when solving for K?

Since K is the equilibrium constant, you should use the concentrations present when the reaction reaches equilibrium.

I believe that equilibrium concentrations should be used when solving for K. In our lecture examples that's what we used, the concentrations of molecules at equilibrium.
