aqueous solutions

If a chemical equation has aqueous solutions in it that means that it can dissolve in water. So if you were to write an equation, how do you know whether or not to include water?

I think it depends on what state the water is in, if it's in a liquid state it can be disregarded and if it's in a gas state like vapor it should be included. This is what I figured from the homework in terms of finding the Kc constant since in lecture we were told to not include solids or liquids. Hope this helps.

For the equilibrium constant, you only include the substances that are in the aqueous and gas phases so the inclusion of water will depend on the equation that you are looking at.
