Equilibrium constants for ionic compounds

For reactions involving fully dissociated ionic compounds in solution, how do you use the activity of each type of ion to write an equilibrium constant for the net ionic equation?

I am not completely sure, but if the ions are in their aqueous states as products you just include them as you would include any compound or molecule in the equation for K.
