Partial Pressure and Concentration
Might be a silly question, but will there ever be an instance where partial pressure is given for one part of a chemical equation then the concentration is given for another part? If so how would you solve for one or the other?

Re: Partial Pressure and Concentration [ENDORSED]
Using PV=nRT, you can rearrange the expression to read P=(n/V)RT. The (n/V) is essentially concentration so you can convert from partial pressure to concentration this way.

Re: Partial Pressure and Concentration
To convert between partial pressure and concentration you would use the ideal gas law, PV=nRT.
To convert partial pressure to concentration, you would use the equation (n/V)=P/RT or conc.=P/RT
To convert concentration to partial pressure, you would use the equation P=(n/V)RT or P=(conc.)RT
To convert partial pressure to concentration, you would use the equation (n/V)=P/RT or conc.=P/RT
To convert concentration to partial pressure, you would use the equation P=(n/V)RT or P=(conc.)RT
Re: Partial Pressure and Concentration
Hi! I think in that case you would just use PV= nRT to convert!
