Writing the Phases in equation

Postby Joanna Pham - 2D » Thu Jan 17, 2019 9:10 pm

Does anyone happen to know if points will be taken off if we don't include the phases of the molecules when writing the chemical equations?

You should write the phases of the molecules just to be safe, and writing the phases will remind you of which molecules should not be included in the equilibrium constant.

I think that it is important if we include the phases, because it tells us what to use, for instance gases will be Kp -> also, it helps you know what to be written in the equilibrium constant.
