For the equation Ni(CO4)<->Ni + 4CO, where x is the equilibrium concentration of CO, how would you put the equation in terms of X. The answer says that it would be x*4/(1.0-x/4) but how would you get the top to be x^4 ?

Hello! I believe the top is x^4 because there are 4 mols of CO in the product, not 1 mol. This means that the concentration in the Kc ratio would be [CO]^4, so therefore X^4.
