Kp

When calculating Kp, do the partial pressures have to be in either bar or atm?

It does not really matter since the units will cancel out anyways, and using both bar or atm will get the same Kp value.

I have noticed that most answers tend to be in bar. Since Kp is a ratio, the units do not matter, but just make sure all the numbers in the calculation are in the same units.

I believe both will give you the correct answer, only as long as all of your partial pressures are in the same unit (either all bar or all atm).
