HW Problem 5G.7
For 5G.7, the solutions manual uses Kc instead of Kp. If all of the reactants and products are in the gas phase, why aren't partial pressures used?

Re: HW Problem 5G.7
I was confused as well as to why the solution manual did not write Kp and just wrote K. However, on the solution manual the ratio was written with "P" in front of each reactant or product which indicates that the ratio is the equilibrium of their partial pressures. Based on Lavelle's modules, he said that it is always good to specify next to the K if its P or C so when dealing with gas phases then write Kp to indicate that you are dealing with the equilibrium constant of partial pressures that have units in atmosphere (atm) or bar. When dealing with aqueous solutions then write Kc to show that your units are in concentration (moles/Liter).

Re: HW Problem 5G.7
Do we have to write Kp or can we just write K? My solutions manual only writes K.
