When to Use Ice Tables?
I'm just a little confused on when we know when to use ICE Tables or not when calculating partial pressure? Are there certain circumstances when we use it?

ICE tables are helpful when given limited information, like when the initial concentration and equilibrium constant is given. ICE tables help you find the concentration at equilibrium by organizing your given information in a neat little way so you can find each concentration at equilibrium through a quadratic formula.
I'm pretty sure it's a similar method when using partial pressures if you're given Kp instead of Kc.

If they ask for the "equilibrium composition", that's generally an indication to use an ICE table. Also, if they ask for K and they give some initial values and some equilibrium values, you should probably use an ICE table to find all the equilibrium values to calculate K.

A key component to look out for when it comes to knowing when to use Ice Tables is if you are given values as well as values of equilibrium. Not to mention if they are asking to calculate for K. Hope this helps!!
