5.39

Postby Jessica Li 4F » Wed Jan 15, 2020 7:15 pm

Could someone explain how to do 5.39? I'm having trouble with the given Kc -- it should be 6.1 * 10^23 according to the table in the textbook but the solutions manual seems to say it's 6.1 * 10^-3, so I'm a bit confused.

Thanks!

I was also confused about this! It was most likely a typo in either the solutions manual or textbook, but I just went with the value in the solutions manual; I don't think we should worry too much about it as long as we know how to do the problem.

I also came across this and was confused. I am sure it is just a typo. I would suggest doing the calculation with the value given in the textbook for extra practice.
