It will be given on tests. If you look at the "constants and equations" section on his website, you will see that the quadratic equation is given.

I would recommend becoming familiar with it in general though. It will help you timewise to know how to use the formula and not waste time on the math when you can be focusing more on the chemistry at hand.

Definitely try to memorize it. I think doing more practice problems really helps you with that!

Memorizing the quadratic equation would help! Also, it is good to know the shortcut with the 5% rule. if you are dealing with a weak acid and Ka is small, we can use approximation. The cut off is anything smaller than 10^-3

The quadratic formula is given on the equation sheet listed on the class website, which is the same equation sheet we will be given on tests

Do yourself a favor and just practice the quadratic formula as much as you can. it just helps make it that much easier, solving everything
