When do we have to find the partial pressure for the gases involved in an equilibrium problem? There are gases in essentially every equilibrium problem but their partial pressures are not always calculated.
I believe you only need to solve partial pressure when asked for the partial P for the individual compounds or if you need to solve for Kp.
Adding on, if there is a mix of gases and aqueous solutions, you would use Kc instead of Kp so you would need concentrations rather than partial pressures.
Yea, you only need to find partial pressures if they ask you to find them. In equilibrium problems, they'll typically already provide you with concentrations which you can use instead of partial pressures (you just need to remember when to use Kc versus Kp).
