For problem 1a) in section 6D I understand how the ice table is set up but I don't get where the solution manual got the value for Ka. How did they get the value of Ka to be 1.8 x 10^-5?

Just before the exercises there is an observation: "Refer to Tables 6C.1 and 6C.2 for Ka and Kb. Assume 25 8C throughout."

There is a table in the book. However sometimes you will need the Ka but you only have the KB for the conjugate and you’ll have to use (Ka)(Kb)=Kw relationship to solve for what you need.
