Strong Acids/Bases
Hi, does anyone know an easier way toward memorizing strong acids and bases? For now, I've been trying to simply memorize what the acids/bases are, but I find myself forgetting or being unsure at times. Thanks!

Try using some sort of flashcard system or anything that will help you quiz yourself! I find that trying to just cold memorize never works for me.

Re: Strong Acids/Bases
There are tons of quizlets that have the strong acids and bases. I used those last quarter to help me memorize them. I highly recommend using those as they have flashcards you can quiz yourself with! Also there is this mnemonic for strong acids that a UA mentioned last quarter that is: SO I Brought NO Clean Clothes.

Yeah, I really recommend the mnemonics!
I use that same exact mnemonic for strong acids, and for strong bases, I use: Larry never killed any real cats carly said boldly!

I just memorize some easy mnemonics . For strong acids, it's "So I Brought No Clean Clothes" (H2SO4, HI, HBr, HNO3, HCL, HCLO3, HCLO4". For strong bases, it's Lily and Nate RoBbed a Bank and Killed a Cessium of Strong Cats" (Li, Na, Rb, Ba, K, Cs, Sr, Ca)

At least for the strong bases side, the easiest way to remember them would be just the entire alkali/ne part of the periodic table

I definitely recommend flash cards to help memorize them, it'll make it easier to see whether something is a weak acid or base through this.

Re: Strong Acids/Bases
Would remembering the strong acids and bases be helpful for the midterm? or would the elements be specified in the questions similar to out hw
