Third Question in Dr. Lavelle Review Session

Postby rachelhchem1I » Fri Mar 12, 2021 8:47 pm

Hi, I don't know what it is, but I am having a hard time understanding the algebra used in the Partial Pressure problem of Dr Lavelle's review session. How do you solve (2x/x^2)=10 to get x=.2? any help is appreciated thanks!

One of the x's cancel so you are left with 2/x = 10. This can be flipped to be x/2 = 1/10 and after multiplying both sides by 2 you get x=0.2
