Achieve Week 1, Question 6

Postby maliamichelsen_3a » Sat Jan 15, 2022 1:03 pm

I've been attempting to solve this problem forever... Any help is appreciated. Work & problem below. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong!

Consider the reaction at 500°C .

N2(g)+3H2(g)↽−−⇀2NH3(g) Kc=0.061

If analysis shows that the composition of the reaction mixture at 500°C is 1.33 mol⋅ L−1N2 , 6.42 mol⋅ L−1H2 , and 2.56 mol⋅ L−1NH3 , what is the value of the reaction quotient Q?

You did everything right, just round your answer to 0.0186 instead of 0.019

I had this experience with rounding on Achieve as well.
All your work is correct just make sure to keep a few more decimal places and you should be good.

Since the question gives you 3 sig figs your answer should also have 3 sig figs

Your work looks good! I believe you can just put .0186 as your answer rather than .019.
