ICE Box and Concentrations
When we are making an ICE box, do the values in the box need to be concentrations? I feel like we have done some examples where the values in the box are only moles. Does this affect how we do calculations or do we just need to be aware of our units when we using the table?

Re: ICE Box and Concentrations
to do the ice box calculations you must either use concentration or partial pressures, using moles will not work.

Re: ICE Box and Concentrations
When doing an ICE box, you are either finding the equilibrium concentrations or equilibrium partial pressure of each molecule. So the values either have to be Molar concentrations or partial pressure in atm, bar, etc. If you were to use something other than Molarity then your answers will most likely come out incorrect.

Re: ICE Box and Concentrations
With the ICE box, you can either use the molarity and partial pressure to calculate whatever they ask for. Usually they give initial concentration/partial pressure and then you must find equilibrium concentration/partial pressure with the given Kp/Kc values.

Re: ICE Box and Concentrations
You can use either molar concentrations or partial pressures in an ice table, you cants use mols though.
