Achieve W2 #9

Postby EriMizuguchi2K » Wed Jan 19, 2022 1:45 am

I was a little confused on quesiton #9 on this week's achieve problem set. If someone could help explain to me why the predominant species would be charged I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!

Since the pH value is above pKa [which indicates it needs to be more basic], the charged, deprotonated species of conjugate base A- will become more predominant in solution.
