Changes to K

Postby Emmaplant1c » Fri Jan 21, 2022 5:38 pm

Are there any changes, besides changes to temperature, that would affect the equilibrium constant?

No, I believe that the only thing that can change the equilibrium constant (Kc) would be temperature, otherwise, the system will just adjust to the changes and return to equilibrium with the same equilibrium constant.

No, from my understanding the only thing that can change the equilibrium constant is temperature.

No, only temperature can change the equilibrium constant.

No, I think (at least from what we've learned so far) only temperature can change the equilibrium constant.

No, only temperature will change the equilibrium constant.

As far as we've learned only temperature affects the K constant. Everything else, like molar concentrations or pressure, will not change the constant

Of the factors that we covered in Dr. Lavelle's lecture, K is only changed by temperature. However, does anyone know out of curiosity if there are other factors that influence K that weren't covered in lecture?

Some people assume that adding a catalyst to a reaction may cause a change in the value of K, however, it isn't the case. The only possible thing that could affect the value of K is temperature.

No, I believe the only element that would affect the equilibrium constant would be temperature.

No I think that only temperature can cause a change in K.

The only thing that can change the equilibrium constant value K is temperature.

Only a change in temperature would affect the equilibrium constant. The other factors that we have covered (such as change in concentration and change in pressure) do not affect the equilibrium constant.

No, K only changes/is affected with temperature changes

No, I believe that from what Professor Lavelle told us only temperature can change the equilibrium constant.
