physical or phase changes

Postby Megan Bundy 2K » Fri Jan 21, 2022 10:50 pm

how would we write the enthalpy equations for the reverse of vaporization, melting, and sublimation?

For the reverse reactions, you would just take the negative value of the change in enthalpy, which indicates whether heat is absorbed or released.

When you reverse one of those reactions, this means that instead of absorbing, you will be releasing heat, and vice versa. So, add a negative in front of the change in enthalpy they already give you.
