K and Kc

Postby Amanda Nguyen dis 2E » Thu Jan 27, 2022 10:05 pm

Could someone clarify the difference between K and Kc as well as when to use each?

Kc is just a more specific variation of K. The "c" indicates that K is being measured in terms of the concentrations of the products and the reactants, rather than something like their partial pressures (which would be denoted by Kp).
