Calculating Q for heterogeneous equations

When calculating Q, if there are pure solids/liquids in the equation, do you include them in the constant calculations or do you set them equal to 1 like we do for calculating heterogeneous equilibrium?

Hi!

When you have solids or liquids, you don't include them in the K or Q equations, you only include gases and aqueous things!

Technically, the concentrations of solids and liquids would be equal to 1, so that's why we just omit them from our K calculations. Like Bridget said, you have to take the aqueous or gas substances into consideration to find K.
